Why you should watch Godaddy video ads

I just surfing Godaddy site and then there is a hot video at the main page. So, it’s just normal to play and watch the video. The best part is after the video is finished. I never know before this that Godaddy also gives promotion at the end of video ads.

At the end of the video ads, Godaddy offers me new domain registration for USD7.49. The best of all is that you can still pay for the promotion by using Paypal, unlike most promotion code that only enable you to pay using credit or debit card. (more…)

Godaddy vs Namecheap as domain registrar

I need new domains for my future projects thus I tried to find the best domain registrars out there. Currently, all of my domains are hosted at Mercumaya which is quite for me. For me, Mercumaya is the best domain registrar in Malaysia (RM30 for com tld).

However, Mercumaya still can not beat famous registrar like Godaddy and Namecheap because those companies always release coupon code so that blogger or domainer can register new domain with discounts.

Domain registration and payment

At first I tried Godaddy to register new domains. By using ‘BOWL99′ coupon code, I should able to get a domain for USD1.15. That means RM4. This is really cheap. However I am not able pay for it since need us to Credit Card, Debit Card, or VCC for paying. Paypal is not allowed for buying domain by using coupon code.

Beware with free domain at co.cc

I used to think that Co.cc is the best site to get free domain, but it seems I didn’t do adequate research.

One of my domain that use Co.cc services is hartaweb.co.cc. After a year, the domain couldn’t be accesed. So I opened my Co.cc account to check for error. I was surprised because I was asked to pay USD 3, USD 5, USD 7 and USD 9 to renew the domain for one, two, three or four years respectively.

The weakness of free domain co.cc

In my previous entry, I explained why I was surprised on Alexa ranking method and how did they can only rank several sub domain of Blogspot precisely.  Even worse the same thing happened on co.cc.

Either co.cc or any of your registered and paid domain names, Alexa didn’t rank them properly by its subdomain, but combining all traffic received from all sub domains.

There are several co.cc weaknesses……..

1. Cannot check your sites ranking on Alexa

I am very concerned about Alexa ranking so that I can see the progress of my blog. Since I use co.cc for one of my blogs, I was unable to see the Alexa ranking for this blog. This is because of Alexa only shows co.cc ranking itself and not my blog on co.cc. (more…)

Adsense For Domain for CO.CC domain.

Yesterday I told you about the renewal charge imposed by co.cc domain if you use it for commercial purposes, i.e. anything that can bring pocket money from your blog.

Since my domain name, hartaweb.co.cc will expire soon in October, so I plan to test it on a Google ads program which is AdSense for domain.

How to use co.cc domain for AdSense for domain program?

Firstly, go to a Google AdSense account and click on the AdSense Setup. Then select AdSense for Domains and enter the name of your domain name.

Co.cc the best free domain name

cc_logoSometimes new blogger doesn’t want to pay for domain thus they are more likely to use blogspot or wordpress.com subdomain. For me, this is totally the biggest mistake since domain name is the most valuable aset.

Once you start blogging, you will have increase in traffics and backlinks. Thus will increase your pagerank and Alexa rank.
