Install Joomla using cpanel Fantastico Auto-Installer

Nowadays, most of  web hosting supports cpanel that has fantastico auto-installer. Without fantastico, webmaster need a quite a hard time to configure related file and creating the database for MySql.

Using fantastico auto-installer, setup a Joomla based website can be done in 5 clicks. Believe it or not? You better believe it.

Step 1: Login to your cpanel and choose fantastico de luxe.

1 - choose fanstastico de luxe

Step 2: Click ‘New Installation’

2 - choose joomla 1.5

Step 3:

  • Choose Joomla 1.5 under content management category.
  • Then you need to provide the directory that you want to use as joomla installation. If you put v2, that means your joomla website is at http://hostipedia.com/v2
  • If you want to use subdomain, you should first create subdomain (at the cpanel main page) before entering the  fanstastico de luxe.
  • Then fill the form completely and press install Joomla 1.5.

3 - joomla config

Step 4: Just click ‘Finish Intallation’.

Step 5: And that’s all you need to do. Once you enter http://hostipedia.com/v2, you can see that your Joomla site is already being setup in 5 clicks.
