How to make WordPress site faster
Do you know that you can make your WordPress blog faster by just by adding a few lines of code in your WordPress theme?
If you are not using any compression method in your WordPress site, you can try to use Zlib compression.
Zlib is compression method for PHP script. I am sure you already know that WordPress theme is an XHTML markup. That means it’s a combination between PHP and HTML. WordPress theme use PHP as decision making for outputting HTML code.
By using Zlib compression, it compresses the PHP that WordPress sends to your visitor’s browser so that it displays much more quickly. Compressing and sending is much faster than sending the PHP in its full size format.
To test the Zib compression, open the header of your WordPress theme and add these code:

To check how much compression is done, you can use the compression tool at http://www.port80software.com/support/p80tools.asp
Below is one of my site result after applying the Zlib compression. Wow, 75 percent compression. That means the site has become 3 x faster than before. You should try too as loading speed is one of the criteria for better SERP.

WordPress nak kata susah tak de susah pun.. Tapi kena ada hosting la. Hosting RM60 setahun.. domain name pulak RM40 setahun. Dah hilang RM100 setahun dah kat situ.
WordPress dengan blogspot tak jauh beza pun. Yang penting, dua2 boleh buat posting.
Bezanya WordPress boleh tambah functionality. Contoh macam customize URL supaya berlainan dengan post title.

WordPress ada banyak plugin lain, tapi aku tak pernah pakai pun.
Pada aku la kan, kalau guna blogspot ok je. Yg penting guna domain name sendiri. Kalau guna domain name sendiri, bila2 nanti nak pindah pun senang. Sebab link juice dekat domain tu masih kekal.
