Before this, I can easily do SEO (search engine optimization) by finding hot keywords that people search but less total results. What I need to do was by entering certain keywords and wait for the drop down keywords suggestion by Google.

But a few weeks ago, looks like I cannot use the SEO method anymore since Google already remove the total results from the drop down keyword suggestion. Firstly, I don’t like the bold keywords at all. It hurts my eyes. And then Google just consumes my time because I need to check the total result manually by searching the keyword.

The good side is that other bloggers also cannot depends on this SEO method anymore. So if you put extra efforts in SEO, it will be easier to out-stand those lazy blogger in SERP.

Below is the old drop down listing with total results. Very convenient to find keywords to be optimized.

Google Adwords Keyword Tool is actually meant for advertiser that want to advertise with Google. Using this this keyword tool, advertiser could get valuable information about keyword that that want to advertise.

Using Google Adwords Keyword, advertiser could know :

the estimated number of search for the keyword

the estimated number of local search of the keyword

the price of the keyword per click

the number of current advertisers for the keyword

Since Google Adwords Keyword Tool supplies a lot of valuable information, most blogger use this tool to do keyword research for their blog post.

How to choose a good keyword to optimize

One of SEO tips is to find a keyword to optimize in your blog post. A good keyword to be optimize should has high number of search but low number of competitors.

How to know the number of search for a keyword? That’s the use of Google Adwords Keyword Tool.

How to know whether the keyword has high competitor or not? You can search the keyword by using Google and see the overall results. If the overall results is less than 100 thousands, then you can assume that the keyword has low number of competitors and suitable to be optimized.

By choosing the low number of overall results, it will be easier for your blog post to get better ranking in Google SERP (Searc Engine Ranking Position).

Ps: Based on the above pictures, ‘laptop keyboard’ is a keyword that suitable to be optimized since the keyword has more than 200 thousands of search per month and only 25,900 overall results (competitors).
